Everyone remembers the kitchen witch, who flew in from overhead (on a fishing line) when the "boys" needed to read a letter about that day's shows. While all letters read (good and bad) were REAL, the Kitchen Witch letter was always contrived for the purpose of getting a few laughs while introducing the day's recipes to be prepared.
